This last weekend, mom and I drove to Denver with Brody and Mercedes so that we could take them to the Denver Zoo Lights, and to my good friend Morgan's graduation party! JC had to stay behind to work ALL weekend! He was really excited to go with us but the stinkin' railroad decided to work him to death instead:(
Aunt Audrey, Uncle Leroy and Markie joined us on our little adventure through the Denver Zoo Lights. We anticipated it being sub-zero temperatures in Denver since it was freeeeezing in Junction, but to our suprise it was actually fairly warm. Definately not as cold there as it has been here! The Denver Zoo Lights was really neat. They decorate most of the park with lights. Brody had sooo much fun! He was running around all over the place and being goofy and running up to every animal light thing he could get to so that he could say "cheese" and I could take his picture...silly! Not sure exactly what they do with the animals in the winter, but some of them were still there like the elephants, hippos, giraffes, penguines, camels...and a few others were available to be seen! They had a guy there making ice sculptures which was very cool to see as well! Lots of fun, so glad everyone enjoyed themselves in the cold weather!
