Saturday we decided that we had all had enough of the Grand Valley, so we packed the fishin' poles, some lunch, fired up the diesel and headed to the Mesa! We spent the day up in the mountains soaking up the warm sun and breathing in the fresh air. It was a perfect day to be up there...the sun was warm but with the breeze it was comfortably cool! JC and Brody tried to catch a fish for like and hour and a half before they lost their patience and decided to throw rocks in the lake instead, LoL! When they were trying to fish, Brody had been doing very well! Daddy had given him a much bigger fishing pole and showed him again how to cast it. He then handed it over for Brody to try and like a pro, Brody would cast the line all by himself...Pretty far too! I don't think I could even cast a line that well, LoL! Mercedes enjoyed the fresh mountain air a little too much, she pooped out not too long after lunch, but that's ok, if I had found a fluffy spot to lie down I would have pooped out too :)

All in all it was a fantastic, much needed, escape from town and I can't wait 'til we can go up again and take Brody 4-wheeling. He hasn't sone that yet and I know he would have a blast!
