~ Potty Training

Our little "Young" man is now 32 months old, and we started potty training just recently, well, when Mercedes arrived actually! Bad timing I know. We started this wonderful process during every life event that every expert tells you to avoid...New house, new room, new bed, new sibling...lots of changes for Brody, but he seems to be handling all of them quite well. In fact considering all of these BIG changes and NEW things, Brody has actually been taking on the potty training pretty well! I have no idea what to expect really. I don't know if he's right on track, or if he's behind in anyway, or if he should be catching on more quickly...I don't know. What I do know is that he does great when he is naked...he goes potty by himself without anyone asking him to! He does good for the most part with underwear on...there have been a few occasions where he goes potty by himself (this is actually beginning to happn more frequently now), but for the most part I need to make sure and remind him to go! Now we still put diapers on at night and sometimes for naps, but only because we had bought a box of them and I hated for them to go to waste. I had read that it's best to 86 all diapers and pull-ups and just do training pants/underwear full time.

Anyhow, this process so far has been very stressful for me, mostly because I started out with way to high of expectations, and because of our new little addition, Mercedes. But as Brody progresses, things become more easy. Right now my biggest struggle with him is getting him to poop in the potty. Don't know what to do there??? Oh well in time I guess...
