~ Anniversary

JC and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary on August 13th. It was very nice to spend some "alone" time with eachother as it has been rather difficult lately to do so with Brody, and me not feeling very well. Mom took Brody while JC and I went to Chilis for dinner. We had a very nice, fulfilling meal, then went back home to savor every last bit of our "Anniversary Alone Time" together.

For our third anniversary, JC got me this fabulous new hammock. I have been wanting one forever. It's just as amazing as it sounds! Brody tried to get in it by himself, and was quickly getting frustrated with it because, as I'm sure you probably already figured, you have to disperse your weight evenly while getting into it otherwise...
...yup...it dumps you out. It was pretty funny, but of course I felt sorry for him, so I got in with him so he could enjoy the evening too...

...as for my gift to JC...I learned from my mother that traditionally, you are suppose to give eachother leather for your third year...so I went to Murdoch's to see if I could find JC something leather that he would actually use. I ended up getting him a leather wallet...which, just so you know he IS using now. After picking out the one that I liked I continued to browse and found this handsome couple...

...I had to get them beacuse I just thought they were so stinkin' cute...and I knew it would make JC laugh...so I took them too...and JC laughed! The grey one on the right is me...and the brown one on the left is JC adoring me!!
